Convex Mirrors embodies the compositional ideas as established by the cubist analysis of space, while aspiring to the futurist principle of “dynamism” — as an expressive means.

The four players have a distinguished personality and contribute with imaginative improvisations. The pieces themselves move from static minimalist textures to energizing grooves that propel the music forward. Savvopoulos ́ interest in polyrhythmic and free atonal vertical/linear structures continues with the highest complexity and refinement of material. Avoiding all trends and stylization, the music remains pure to its essence and immanent logic of construction.
